Lead Instructor

Robert Schrenzel, often called “Hot Job Rob” or simply Rob, is a seasoned emergency services professional with over 20 years of diverse experience. Driven by a lifelong passion for paramedicine, Rob earned his first CPR and First Aid certification at just 12 years old and joined his first rescue squad at 16. By 18, he became a New Jersey EMT Basic and began working for one of the nation’s leading trauma centers. His journey took him to Maryland, where he entered the fire service, became a paramedic, and later transitioned to critical care and contract paramedicine in the Baltimore/DC area before returning to New Jersey.

Rob’s career has been distinguished by a dual focus on leadership and education, particularly in critical care and tactical medicine. As a dedicated instructor, he has served as an adjunct EMT educator, Trauma Educator at a Level 1 Trauma Center, Trauma QA specialist, and instructor in multiple pre-hospital specialties, including NAEMT courses and tactical medicine programs. His commitment to education extends to empowering others through ‘Stop the Bleed’ and TECC/TCCC courses, where he plays a pivotal role in preparing responders for high-stakes emergencies.

Rob’s leadership skills are equally impressive. He rose from Field Training Officer to Operations Manager for one of the largest private, hospital-based EMS systems in the U.S. During his tenure, he successfully managed large-scale incidents, spearheaded the health system’s infectious disease response during the Ebola outbreak of 2014–2015, and oversaw the medical operations of a county law enforcement dive rescue team. His role as a tactical paramedic further highlights his ability to integrate leadership and clinical expertise, supporting multi-county tactical operations in New Jersey and ensuring the highest standard of care in dynamic and high-pressure environments.

Today, Rob serves as a full-time flight paramedic for one of New Jersey’s largest health systems, a tactical paramedic, and an instructor in tactical medicine, firearms, and prehospital care. When not working, Rob enjoys spending time with his family, physical fitness, cooking, tactical training, and continuing to balance his professional expertise
